Halloween Activities

In anticipation of Halloween, we talked about the history of this popular celebration. Most of the older students knew a lot about it, but it was an opportunity to clarify some points and refresh their memories! As for the younger students, we simplified the story a bit in order for them to understand and not being intimidated.

Our next priority was to learn or revise a few relevant words, in the form of flashcards and various worksheets, wordsearches etc.

Maybe one of the best ways to easily learn and remember new vocabulary is listening to songs. We listened to a few of them and here are some of our favourites:

Our last, but not least, activity was to decorate our classrooms. We coloured, cut and hang our decorations, and we also made Halloween masks, jack o' lanterns and treat baskets to use on our Trick-or-Treat visits!

On Wednesday 31st of October, the students of Class 5 and Class 6 dressed up and went Trick-or-Treating at the other school classes and at the Kindergarten. More pictures from this day will follow soon, so watch this space!

N.B. Children should not browse video sharing sites unsupervised.
